She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Charles Kimbro and Vara Sullivan Kimbro; and her husband James Roy "Jimmy" Johnson. She is survived by: her children, Michael Gilmer (Chris) of Dickson and Tiffany McDaniel (Woody) of Decatur, AL; her sisters, Kay Willis, Joyce Edmisson and Melba Kimbro of Dickson; and her grandchildren, Constance Davett Myatt of Dickson, Bryan Gilmer (Liz) of Dickson, Steven Gilmer (Susan) of Dickson and D. J. Nichols (Cameron) of McEwen. She is also survived by her six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home (214 N Main St, Dickson, TN 37055). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to either St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
