She was predeceased by: her husband Frank M. Newman; her parents, J. H. McCartt and Vida Mae Heidle McCartt; and her brothers, Dr. A. K. McCartt and J. D. McCartt.
She is survived by: her children, Becky Reynolds (John) and James Newman; her granddaughters, Rachel Bonar (James) and Anna Grace Jack (Caleb); and her siblings, G. M. McCartt and Mary Elizabeth Sanders. She is also survived by five great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
