He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Hayes and Ida Porter Hayes; his siblings, Evelyn Hayes, Elmer Hayes and Bobby Hayes; and his nephew Eddie Hayes.
He is survived by: his wife Nelda Hayes; his grandchildren, Brittany Frazier (Jarred), Joshua Rose (Mckenzie), Christy Steele, Shelby, Dustin Keatts (Mickey Head), Zach Hayes, Cole Keatts (Carrie), Brandt Bramlett (Holli Shepherd), Jacob Rose (Kyanne), Tyler Keatts, Lexi Gerken (Jackson), Kaitlyn Bramlett, Karlee Bramlett and Laci Hayes (Nathan Toombs); and his sisters, Betty Wyatt, Dorothy Rorie, Peggy Hollingsworth and Kathy McClean. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, August 23rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Anglin Funeral Home (402 Donelson Pkwy, Dover, TN 37058). A funeral service was held on Sunday, August 23rd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the same location.
