He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie Russell and Mary Russell; his wife Mary Russell; his siblings, Larry Russell and El Rita Sanders; and his niece Tammy Carter.

He is survived by: his daughter Karen Millraney (Jason) of Paris, Tennessee; his grandchildren, Alexandria Millraney and Noah Millraney; and his nephews, Robert Hargrove, Willie Atkins, Kevin Atkins and Larry Russell Jr..
