She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Howard and Edna Manners Howard; her husband Nolen Stewart; and her sons, Bradley Miller and Jeremy Miller.
She is survived by: her children, Hugh W. Miller (Cindy) and Ti-Nea Humphrey (Penny Watson); and her siblings, Thomas Howard, Benjamin Howard, Charles Howard and Lisa Howard. She is also survived by six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
