It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Norma Louise Compton of Dover, Tennessee, who passed away on May 22, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Otis Edward Steele and Kaite Acree Steele; her husband James "Sonny" Compton; her daughter Wanda Taylor; and her siblings, Joe Acree Steele, Otis Steele and Mary Ella Mills.
She is survived by: her children, James Compton (Darla) and Barbara Smith (Steve). She is also survived by her seven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
