He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Hunt Parks and Zora Faye Harwood Parks; his wife Verbena Parks; and his siblings, Laverne Parks, Herman Lee Parks and Charles Henry Parks.
He is survived by: his children, Edward Parks (Elizabeth) of Martin, Tennessee, Thomas Parks (Vicky) of South Fulton, Tennessee, Steve Parks (Debra) of Martin, Tennessee, Ronald Parks (Pam) of Martin, Tennessee and Janice Clark (Larry) of Sharon, Tennessee. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
