He is survived by: his wife Patsy Slaughter Mathis; his children, Dwayne Alan Mathis (Misty) and Kimberley Ann "Bebo" Jenkins (Jonathan); his brother Jimmy Mathis; his stepchildren, Jamie Johnston (Neely) and Chris Neely; and his grandchildren, Peyton Mathis, Kara Mathis, Kilee Jenkins, Anna Kate Jenkins, Bryson Mathis, Jase Jenkins, Blake Johnston and Chase Johnston.
