Though Mary Magalene may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Mary Magalene touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her husband James D. Parton Sr.; and her children, James Jr., Johnny, Faye, Joyce and Louise.
She is survived by: her children, Rex Parton Sr., Linda Burkett, Peggy (Tom Wilson), Jackie (Lois Parton) and Ivy (Billy Bowman). She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:40 PM at the Lane Funeral Home Coulter Chapel (601 Ashland Terrace, Chattanooga, TN 37415). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 from 12:40 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Forest Hills Cemetery (4016 Tennessee Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37410).
