He is survived by: his children, Craig Akins (Marie), Shannon Akins and Kevin Akins; his sisters, Margaret Roberts and Deanna Shadrick; and his pet Lucky. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Ewton Funeral Home & Cremation Center (6936 TN-28, Dunlap, TN 37327). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
