Ronald Robert Swafford II September 2, 1969 – October 13, 2025
Ron Swafford II took his final cruise on October 13, 2025, peacefully shifting into neutral at Park Ridge Hospital. A lifelong car enthusiast and proud member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 43, Ron was known for his hard work, loyalty, and the laughter he brought to everyone who knew him. Ron lived his life surrounded by family and friends, but most of all truly enjoyed being a Papaw and Dad. He had a special gift for connecting with people always ready with a quick joke, a helping hand, or a sarcastic comment that somehow made you feel appreciated.

Please join his family at his Celebration of Life on August 29, 2026 at Harris Park on 245 Cedar Street, Dunlap, TN 37327 at 3:30PM CST. Bring your favorite ride, the shinier, the better and swap stories. In lieu of flowers, the family will be accepting donations for assistance for his granddaughter, Karma as she grows up without her papaw or her dad.

Born and raised around Highway 58, Ron and his partners-in-crime, Chris Gass and Mike Porter, managed to get into just enough mischief to keep life interesting and likely got away with more than anyone will ever know. He loved antique cars, trucks, and motorcycles especially his Harleys. Whether cruising down the road in one of his classic
rides or rumbling through town on two wheels, Ron was happiest when there was an engine and open road ahead.

Ron was preceded in death by his beloved son, Ronald “Little Ron” Robert Swafford III and his favorite Papaw Swafford who made sure Ron was in church every Sunday. Lil Ron and Gabby gave him his BOSS as he would call her, his granddaughter, Karma.

He is survived by his parents, Doris (Poppy Curtis) Swafford and Ronald Robert Swafford I; his daughter, Brandi Swafford; his granddaughter, Karma; his sister, Robin (Todd) Jensen; his niece, Annika Jensen; and his nephew, Wyatt Jensen. He also leaves behind lovingly Keith (Kay) Smith and Carsen Smith, Blayd Smith, and Carter Smith. He’s also survived by his cousin, Tina who persuaded him into his last cruise in December even though it was on a boat.

Ron’s kindness, humor, and generosity touched every person who crossed his path. He gave freely of himself and never asked for anything in return. His legacy of love, laughter, and loyalty will continue to live on through his family and friends. Kids adored him, adults laughed with him and everyone who knew him has a story they’ll never forget. His humor had no filter, his sarcasm had perfect timing, and his heart was far bigger than he ever let on.
