He was predeceased by: his brother Glen Tate; his parents, Ina Hitchcock Tate and Vince Burnard Tate Sr.; and his sister Yvonne Tate Morgan. He is survived by: his wife Linda Pittman Tate; his daughter Jeri Lynn Harris; his son-in-law Tim Harris; his siblings, Vince Burnard Tate Jr. and Alfreda Tate Rhodes; and his pet Pumpkin Otis. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
