She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Pierce and Mary Ethel White Barney; her former husband Garrett Shanklin; her husband Clyde Tharp; her daughter Patsy Young; her stepdaughter Peggy Watkins; and her grandsons, William Young, Robert Young and Brad Overall.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Timothy'Timmy'Young, Eddie Watkins (Jayna) and Deana Hall (Greg); and her great grandchildren, Dalton'Doc'Young, Andrea'Aunnie'Moore, Leslie Wallsmith, Eric Young, Mason Wyrick, Garrison Wyrick, Ashley Young and Travis Watkins. She is also survived by ten great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A burial will be held on Sunday, October 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Poplar Grove Cemetery (275 TN-185, Dyer, TN 38330).
