With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Tammy Petty Bennett of Dyer, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 13, 2026 at the age of 65. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Tammy may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Edward Petty and Winnie Maynard Petty; her brothers, Dennis Ray Petty and Mark Thomas Petty; and her stepmother Ruby Jean Petty.
She is survived by: her sons, Dustin Bennett of Astor, FL and John Paul Bennett of Newbern; her brother Ricky Petty of Dyersburg; and her mother-in-law Peggy Oakley.
