He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Bane and Zellar Elizabeth Bane; his siblings, Homer Bane, Edward Bane, C. B. Bane, Geneva Weatherly and Barbara McNeely; and his grandson Eric Clay Carter Asher.
He is survived by: his wife Reba Grizzle Bane of Dyersburg, TN; his daughters, Jacqueline Bane-Asher and Nina Robertson; his brother Joe Don Bane; and his grandchildren, Shannon Hill, Philip Crawford, Heather Rodgers, Jennifer Rose, Loretta Ubal and Josh Robertson. He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
