He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester C. Armstrong and Connie Jones Armstrong; his siblings, David Armstrong, Lavenia McPherson and Teresa Maitland; his siblings-in-law, Mary Jacobi, Jim Jacobi and Aubrey Hay; and his niece Cindy Hay.
He is survived by: his children, Jane Ogg (Jerald), Cathy Hollingsworth (Terry) and Greg Armstrong (Michelle); his grandchildren, Jennifer Ogg Wilson (Brian), Jana Ogg, Matt Hollingsworth (Anna), Megan Armstrong Sharpe (Collin) and Colin Armstrong (Abby); his great grandchildren, Boone, Max Anderson and Maya Hollingsworth; his sister Polly (Mac); and his sibling's children, Clay McPherson (Mair), Jim Jacobi (Sheila), Steve (Christi), Sara McPherson Girard, Dainese McPherson, Donna Pruitt (Bruce), Campagna, Julie Pruitt, Cheryl Armstrong McClure (Tony), Emily Armstrong McDaniel and Debbie Hay Ford (David).
