He is survived by: his wife Shirley Viar of Dyersburg; his children, Michael Viar (Sheila) of Newbern, Jason Eric Viar (Isabel) of Newbern, Leon Viar of Nashville, Cynthia Viar Walker (Mike) of Clarksville and Elisa Dawn Viar of Dyersburg; his sisters, Faye Porter of Humboldt and Brenda Thurman of Miramar Beach, Florida.; and his grandchildren, Jessica McGehee (Josh), Alisha Davidson (John), Niki Murphy (Joel), Alex Viar, Jeremy Floyd (Eleisa), Jared Walker (Ashley), Lindsey Wilkerson (David), Stacey McNutt (John), Jacob Watts, Luke Watts (Lindsey) and Meagan McGuire (Tyler).
