With profound sadness, we say goodbye to John C. Smith of Dyersburg, Tennessee, born in Chicago, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by : his parents, John Joseph Smith and Anna Graf Smith; his son Jason Scott Smith; and his sister Judith Rojewski. He is survived by : his wife Shirley Jean French Smith of Dyersburg, Tennessee; his children, Jeff Smith (Becky) of Newbern, Tennessee and Lillian "Cricket" Jamison (Chad) of Newbern; and his grandchildren, Ryan Smith, Jessica Finn, Hali Rackley, Teo Rackley, Elizabeth Merritt, David Smith and Ellyn Smith. He is also survived by ten great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Johnson-Williams Funeral Home (239 E Main St, Newbern, TN 38059). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home (239 E Main St, Newbern, TN 38059).
