Murray L. Smith Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Murray L. Smith of Dyersburg, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 18, 2025 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Murray Freeman Smith and Betty Jean White Smith. He is survived by: his wife Anita L. Barker Smith of Dyersburg, Tennessee; his children, Chris Smith (Jennifer) of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Pam Sexton (Brad) of Dyersburg, Penny Runions of Dyersburg and Tracy Lee (Michael) of Dyersburg, Tennessee; and his siblings, Jimmy Smith (Teresa) of Finley, James Freeman Smith of Lebanon, Johnny Cole of Halls, Tennessee, Judy Holt (Lloyd) of Newbern, Kathy Craig (Dalton) of Newbern, Lucianna Smith (John) of Halls and Conasaga Wilder (Scott) of Halls. He is also survived by his eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at the Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Fairview Cemetery.
