With sadness, we share the passing of Nathan Burns of Dyersburg, Tennessee. Nathan, born on August 10, 1943, passed away on September 11, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, J. T. Burns and Flossie Viola Hurst Burns; and his brothers, Ray Hurst, Bobby Burns and Thomas Burns.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy "Dot" Jones Burns of Dyersburg, Tennessee; his children, Kenneth Burns (Shawn) of Springville, Clint Burns (Carrie) of Newbern, Tennessee, Sherry Agee of Rutherford and Nikki Burns of Chattanooga; and his sisters, Nita Faye Enochs of Dyersburg, Dianne Enochs of Dyersburg and Lydia Bullock of Mississippi. He is also survived by "Pappy" to his six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Johnson-Williams Funeral Home (239 E Main St, Newbern, TN 38059). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home (239 E Main St, Newbern, TN 38059).
