With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Patsy Hunter of Dyersburg, Tennessee, who passed away on October 11, 2025 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Patsy departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Patsy may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Patsy leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Raylian Kirby and Maxine Goodwin Kirby; her husband Gary Paul Hunter; and her brother David Kirby. She is survived by: her siblings, Linda Craig of Newbern, TN, Sara Kirby of Dyersburg, TN and Danny Kirby of Dyersburg, TN; and her close friend Jasper. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Dyersburg Funeral Home (420 US-51, Dyersburg, TN 38024). A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Sorrell's Chapel Cemetery (3566 Sorrell Chapel Rd, Dyersburg, TN 38024).
