We announce the death of Robert Vernon Loyd of Eads, Tennessee, born in Aiken, South Carolina, who passed away on October 24, 2026, at the age of 77. Robert will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Bell and Ruby Jordan Loyd; and his nephew Chad Franklin. He is survived by: his wife Emma Jean Willis Loyd; his children, Jennifer P. Davidson (Todd) and David A. Loyd (Allison); his grandchildren, Ryan Wells, Grayson Loyd, Reilly Loyd, Kailee, Renee and Natalie Davidson; his sister Debbie Franklin (Tony); and his niece Cori Franklin.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 4th 2026 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Collierville Funeral Home (3863 Bailey Station Rd, Collierville, TN 38017).
In Lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Towers 2 Tunnels, or wounded warrior project.
