With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Barbara June McClaran Matthaei of Eagleville, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 4, 2025 at the age of 89. She was predeceased by: her parents, Audrey Lee McClaran and Pearl McClaran; her husband Friedrich Karl Matthaei; her children, Birgit Rankin and Andreas Hug; and her siblings, Imogene Wood, Nancy Olphie, Ruth Ann Kelley, John Edward McClaran, Joe Harold McClaran, Wayne McClaran and B. F. McClaran.
She is survived by: her children, Janette Biba of Germany and Martin Wayne Hug of Germany; and her grandchildren, Christopher Thor Rankin, Murielle Biba and Fabienne Biba.
