We bid farewell to David Lawrence Williams of East Ridge, Tennessee, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 21, 2025 at the age of 88. David Lawrence touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his mother Frances Williams. He is survived by: his wife Karen Powell Williams; his daughter Stephanie Reithmeier (Tim) of Hixson, Tennessee; his brother Richard Barbee (Ruby) of Rossville, Georgia; his granddaughters, Abigail Wooten and Zoe Reithmeier; his siblings-in-law, Jimmy and Drenda Voiles; and his sibling's children, Stacey Scoggins (Tommy) of Harrison, Tennessee and Stephen Voiles (Jeri).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the W. L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home-Ft. Oglethorpe Chapel (555 W Cloud Springs Rd, Rossville, GA 30742). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at the Tennessee/Georgia Memorial Park (724 Hogan Rd, Rossville, GA 30741).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of David Williams to the UC Foundation for the UTC Bands or the UTC Marching Band Fund.
