He was predeceased by : his mother Leola Bell Wood; his siblings, Florene Stancil, TJ and Bobby Wood; and his nephews, Phillip Stancil and Gary Dean Harding.

He is survived by : his wife Nancy Banks Wood; his daughter Lindsay; his son-in-law Jeff Daughtery; his grandchildren, Pearl and Felix Daughtery; his nieces and nephews, Anne Langston, Claudia Davis, Shelley, Kelley Banks, David, Danny, Jimmy Stancil, Mark Wood, Scott and Greg Nesbitt; his siblings-in-law, LaDora Nesbitt, Jimmy and Richard Banks; and his pet Sparky.

Memorial contributions may be made to Brainerd Hills Baptist Church and/or Hospice of Chattanooga.
