He is survived by : his wife Laura Theresa McDonald-McCarty; his sons, Robert McCarty (Sabrina), Richard Barrett (Jennifer), John Livingston (Candy), Brian McDonald (Jessica Revels) and Michael McDonald (Catherine Johnson); his siblings, Brian McCarty (Maria), Edward McCarty (Angela) and Alice Lenning (Grady); his grandchildren, Dakota Livingston, Zachary Livingston, Austin Livingston, Jaden Barrett, Emalee McDonald, Alison McCarty, Mariah Barrett and Lily McDonald; and his great grandchildren, Ava Muhammad, Laya Muhammad, Valisity Livingston and Dutton Livingston. He is also survived by several loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
