Phillip Mark Istre Obituary

We announce the death of Phillip Mark Istre of Eidson, Tennessee, who passed away on July 17, 2026, at the age of 61. Phillip will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ferdie J. Istre and Evelyn M. Istre; his brothers, Peter, Albert and Dan Istre; and his close friend Roy Benton.

He is survived by: his wife Shirley Istre; his children, Rachael Davis (Eric) and Clint Hurd (Sondra); his granddaughters, Emily and Olivia Hurd; his siblings, David, Suzanne, Joseph, Juliet, Angela, George and Damon; and his close friends, Mark Holland, Daniel Roberts, Thomas Rogers, John Farleigh and Kevin Seals Sr.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Shirley Istre to help with final expenses.
