She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Canter and Cordelia Hinkle Canter; her husband W. Rondal Woods; her grandson Michael Lynn Woods; and her siblings, Robert Canter, James Herful Canter, Kermith Canter, Eddie Canter, Beryl Street and Jane Coleman.
She is survived by: her sons, Joseph (Nelia) and Gary (Patricia); her grandchildren, Nathan Woods Vanessa Woods (Jennifer), Veronica Stout (Eric), Annabell Ernst (Brian) and Joanna Woods; her great grandchildren, Rainier, Holston, Bodhi, Keats, Boone Mink, Asa, Emmett Stout, Henry Ernst and Zoe Woods; her stepgrandchildren, Adrian Woods (Becca) and Dr. Amy Woods Houghs (Charles); her sisters, Jeanette Elliot and Leona Gentry; and her nephew Robert Canter, Jr. (Leslie).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Elizabethton High School Women's Basketball Team or the Shriner's Children's Hospital in Greenville, South Carolina.
