She was predeceased by: her parents, Silas Clifton and Ada Zella Scalf Blackburn; her son Carl Eugene Grindstaff; and her great grandchild Maleigha Audrey Blackwell. She is survived by: her children, Angela Stonecipher (Johnny) of Elizabethton, Sheila McKinney (Doug Duncan) of Elizabethton, Jonathan Grindstaff (Sharay) of Elizabethton and Jenny Townsend (Bob); and her nephew Darrell Blackburn.
