He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Morton and Irene Morton Nave (Cornett); and his siblings, Marion Hulse, Louise Ingram, Monnie Willliams, Charlotte Street, Cecil Morton and Leonard Morton.
He is survived by: his wife Becky Morton of Elizabethton; his sons, Joe Lingerfelt of Elizabethton, Sampson Lingerfelt of Elizabethton and Jason Lingerfelt (Brandi) of Elizabethton; his grandchildren, Brooklyn, Joseph, Maci, Aiden and Patricia; and his siblings, Iva Lee Beamer, Carolyn Lyons, Joyce Norman, Ruthie Loveless and James Nave.
Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude's Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in honor of Charles.
