Clifton Leon McFarland Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Clifton Leon McFarland of Elizabethton, Tennessee, born in Jefferson City, Tennessee, who passed away on August 2, 2020 at the age of 74. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Clifton Leon McFarland to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy McFarland and Emma McFarland (Cunningham); his wife Betty Jean McFarland (Richmond); and his siblings, Leroy McFarland Jr., James McFarland (Billy), Franklin McFarland (Mickey) and Dallas McFarland.

He is survived by: his sisters, Mollie Bradley of Midway, KY, Marilyn Hendrick, Carolyn Baker and Martha Brooks (Mac Arthur); his children, Robert McFarland of Knoxville, TN and Sandy Gordon (Rasco) of Murfreesboro, TN; his grandchildren, Taylor Layne McFarland of Manassas, VA, Jordan McFarland, Clinton, Gabriel and Jasen (Caitlin Gordon); and his great grandchildren, Zayden Josiah, Cameron and Aubrianna.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Carter County is mandating that all citizens who live in or visit Carter County wear masks in public.

Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers, may make donations to the American Parkinson Disease Association.
