He is survived by: his wife Wilma Street Blackwell; his son Brent; his daughter-in-law Tabitha Blackwell of Elizabethton; his grandson Cole "Horse" Blackwell of Elizabethton; and his brothers, Jack Blackwell (Patsy) of Roan Mountain and Bobby Blackwell (Brenda) of Roan Mountain.
