He was predeceased by: his parents, William Arthur Crain and Ethel Marie Barnett Crain; his wife Alma Jean Roark Crain; and his siblings, Vernon Crain, Bill Crain, Bob Crain and Ruth Crain Franklin.
He is survived by: his children, Kelly Crain (Teresa) of Elizabethton, Connie Bowery (Tony) of Elizabethton and Caren Hill (Grady) of Elizabethton; his grandchildren, Whitney James (Ben James) of Elizabethton, Dylan Hill (Emily) of Elizabethton and Cameron Crain (Morgan) of Jonesborough; his great grandchildren, Marlee, James, Gracie-Jean James and Noah Ray Hill of Elizabethton; his sister Charlotte Hunt (Charles) of Morganton, NC; and his nephew Terry Crain (Martha) of Elizabethton. He is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
