It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ernest Bowers (Elizabethton, Tennessee), who passed away on September 18, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hicks Bowers and Addie Pearl Wilson Bowers; his wife Gwendolyn Bowers; his siblings, Eugene Bowers, Allen Bowers, Fane Bowers, Shirrell Bowers and Maude Netherton; his sister-in-law Betty Bowers; and his great grandchild Abigail Grindstaff.
He is survived by: his daughter Tina Bowers Westgate (Jeff); his grandchildren, Amber Morris and Brandon Grindstaff (Lauren); his great grandchildren, Ian Honaker, Jaret Taylor, Logan Grindstaff and Cooper Grindstaff; his sisters, Dorothy Beard (Alvin) and Gaylene Woodby (Steve); his sisters-in-law, Wanda Bowers and Judy Bowers; his stepchildren, Kimberly Cantrell, Sabrina Cantrell and Jamie Cantrell; his stepgranddaughter Trinity Cantrell; and his pet Tinkerbell.
