With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Gereel A Cable of Elizabethton, Tennessee, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Gereel left this world on July 10, 2025 at the age of 92, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ross Aldridge and Dovie Aldridge; her brothers, Hoyt Aldridge, Monty Aldridge and Garrett Aldridge; and her nephew Keith Pate.
She is survived by: her daughters, Carol Buckner (Brian) of Elizabethton and Teresa Brinkley (Bill) of Jonesborough; her grandchildren, Erin Brinkley, Whitney Roberts and Ben Brinkley (Kara); her great grandchildren, Claire and Riley Brinkley; and her sister Mayme Smith. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and their children.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, 950 W. Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605-4255.
