He is survived by: his wife Hilda Sheppard Vines; his children, Gilbert Vines, Jr. (Tracy) of Elizabethton, Christy Vines and Heather Elliott (Mack) of Elizabethton; his grandchildren, Allison Rajewski (Rich) of Chicago, Megan Elliott of Elizabethton, David Elliott of Bainbridge Island, WA, Zachary of Elizabethton and Kyleigh Elliott of Elizabethton; his great grandchild Alathia Elliott of Elizabethton; his siblings, Dan Vines (Angela) of Jonesborough and Vicky Snyder (Dan) of Jonesborough; and his nieces, Amy, Jeannie, Alena and Tari. He is also survived by his children and grandchildren.
