It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Carrier of Elizabethton, Tennessee, who passed away on February 10, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Earnest Carrier and Donna Francisco Carrier; his wife Norma Perry Carrier; and his siblings, Walter Lynn Carrier, Dr. Ed Carrier, Elizabeth Morris and Joann Tabor.

He is survived by: his daughters, Tracy Carrier-Miller (Matthew) of Statesville, NC and Christi Rice (Todd) of Knoxville, TN; his grandsons, James Ian Miller, Mattias Miller and Alex Rice; his close friend Martha Hardin of Elizabethton; his pet Hissie; and his nephews, Kirk Carrier, Gerald Rutledge, Rick Boy and Tony Clark. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
