He was predeceased by: his grandmothers, Hattie Pate and Ollie Ledford; his aunts, Rosie and Linda; and his uncle Leo Ledford.
He is survived by: his parents, Lawrence "Don" Ledford and Carol Ledford (Hughes); his siblings, Michael Ledford and Tonya Estep (Adam); his half-sister Donna Parson; his stepson Derek "Bubby" Garrett; his nephew Blake; and his nieces, Ava and Mia. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family requests that those who prefer donations in lieu of flowers make the donation to Tetrick Funeral Home of Elizabethton to help with James' funeral expenses.
