We announce the death of Janice Sue Estep of Elizabethton, Tennessee, who passed away on October 17, 2026, at the age of 81. Janice will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Homer C. Salyer and Iona Eads Salyer; her husband Rev. Richard "Dickey" Estep; and her siblings, Roy, Carlos Salyer, Vera West and Brenda Howell.
She is survived by: her sons, Shannon Estep (Christy) and Lance Estep; her grandchildren, Aaron, Carissa and Jacob Estep; her great grandchild Mila Carrier; and her siblings, LaDonna Proffitt (Jerry) and Desler Salyer.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Memorial Funeral Chapel (212 N Main St, Elizabethton, TN 37643). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Grindstaff Cemetery.
