He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Lewis and Ola Nidiffer Lewis; his wife Mary Grindstaff Lewis; and his brother C. H. Lewis. He is survived by: his brother Richard Allen Lewis of Elizabethton; his nieces, Joyce, Virginia and Paulette; his daughter Joyce Salyer of Elizabethton; his grandchildren, Jemima Campbell of Elizabethton and Mary Asher (Brad) of Elizabethton; his great grandchildren, Cydney, Nolan, Kiki, Natalie, Alisha, Matilda, Allie, Easton and Gage; his great great grandchildren, Willow and Azalea; his stepdaughter Rose Ann Stout of Elizabethton; and his cousins, Betty Jane White and Keith Grindstaff.
