She was predeceased by : her parents, Cecil C. Smith and Irene Townsend Smith; and her sisters, Helen Tolley, Rosalee Jones and Thelma Hyder.

She is survived by : her husband Cecil Guy; her children, Michael K. Honeycutt (Melissa) of Hampton and Karen Timbs of Hampton; her sisters, Jacquelyn Whitehead of Elizabethton, Lois Lemmon of Bristol, TN and Jean Cosgrove of North Carolina; her stepson Dan Guy; her close friends, Weston of Hampton, Landon Street of Hampton, McKinley Kuhn of Hampton and Jayden Kuhn of Hampton; and her nephew Bradley Whitehead.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 30th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Tetrick Funeral Home (211 N Riverside Dr, Elizabethton, TN 37644). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, April 30th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, April 30th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Mountain Home National Cemetery (53 Memorial Ave, Mountain Home, TN 37684).

Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations in memory of Joyce to Little Doe Free Will Baptist Church Ladie's Class, 118 Simerly Creek Road, Hampton, TN 37658.
