She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy J. McKinney and Sue Brockwell McKinney; and her husband Dr. Danny D. Smith. She is survived by: her children, Dr. Justin Smith (Kerry) and Tracey Smith Collake (Justin); her grandchildren, Holsten Smith, Sabrah Smith, Harper Collake and Knox Collake; her sister Susanne McKinney Robbins; her brother-in-law David Smith; and her close friends, Judy Fowler, Sheila Hartley, Carolyn Taylor, Debbie Blevins, Sue Tinker, Susan Cogan, Irene Lewis, Teresa Niddifer, Tammy Booher, Russ Swaney, Charles Snell and the PT Squires. She is also survived by her children and grandchildren.
