It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Kirby D Herman of Elizabethton, Tennessee, who passed away on October 11, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid adieu to Kirby's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in his wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Kirby has bequeathed us. For though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carlton Herman and Beatrice Barrows Herman. He is survived by: his wife Martha Simon Herman; and his children, Naomi Moritz (Michael) and Nathan Herman (Rebecca). He is also survived by five brothers and four sisters.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 at 9:50 AM. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Memorial Funeral Chapel (212 N Main St, Elizabethton, TN 37643). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Vester Grindstaff Cemetery (519 Young Rd, Unicoi, TN 37692).
