He was predeceased by: his parents, Lennie Cole and Alma Cole (Ollis); and his sisters, Annis Cole Hendrick, Linda Hartley and Peggy Sue Cole.
He is survived by: his wife Zeola Cole (Blevins); his daughters, Lori Royston (Travis) of Elizabethton and Lisa Hayes (Matthew) of Elizabethton; his grandchildren, Kaysi Royston, Caleb Royston and Cash Royston; and his pet Smokie. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
