He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Brooks and Nellie Brewer Brooks; his wife Martha Brooks; and his son Ricky Dean Brooks. He is survived by: his children, Dwayne Spitzer of New York, Vincent K. Brooks of Fort Myers, Lisa Brooks Smith (Greg) of Fort Myers and Robin Blackwell; his grandchildren, Carter Brooks Smith, Chandler Brewer and Carson Walker Smith; his great grandchildren, Carter Brooks Smith and Ava Estella Smith; his niece Norma Brooks; and his nephew Mike Smith.
