She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Lee Smith, Sr. and Lorena Florence Frazier Smith; her former husband Glenn Richard Hyder; Harry Lee Smith, Jr.. She is survived by: her husband James M. Snyder; her sons, Gregory Hyder of Chicago and Jeffery Hyder (Cheryl) of Fayetteville; her grandsons, Reuben Hyder (Melissa), Daniel Hyder and Jonathan Hyder; and her sister Joan Deaton of Elizabethton. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations in memory of Lyndell to the Shriner's Hospital for Children or to Oak Street Baptist Church.
