She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Garland and Edith Estep Stout; and her sister Henrietta Garland. She is survived by: her sister Geneva Lerma-Avila; her nieces, Edie Lerma-Avila and Sara Lerma-Avila; and her great-nephew Baylen Gallucci.
