He was predeceased by: his stepfather Charles "Leroy" Garland; his grandparents, Kathrine, Terry Dibble, Gene and Coy Phipps; and his father Doug Phipps.
He is survived by: his son Aiden; his mother Sheryl Garland; his sister Heather Smith (Chris); his nieces, Palmer and Piper; his brother Correy Garland; his former wife Jessica Krivdo; his aunt Hilde Phipps (Julie); and his friend Eric Hensley.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Stephan's name to organizations that support addiction recovery and offer hope to those seeking healing.
