He was predeceased by: his parents, John Cox and Annabel Cox; his wife Martha Cox; his brothers, Earl and Roy Cox; and his granddaughter Chasity Reece.
He is survived by: his sons, Paul W. Cox, Jr. (Lucy) of Elizabethton and Robert L. Cox; his sister Ruby Woods of Elizabethton; and his sister-in-law Janice Stout of Elizabethton. He is also survived by Two Grandchildren, Five great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Happy Valley Memorial Park (2708 Elizabethton Hwy, Johnson City, TN 37643).
