She was predeceased by: her parents, Lula Taylor Elliot and Red Sim Elliott; her son Jackson Ray Slagle; her grandson Jacob Honeycutt; and her siblings, Jenny Tench and Sonny Elliott.
She is survived by: her husband Dean Allen Walters; her daughter Robin Slagle Lewis (Chris); her granddaughters, Ashley Lewis and Grace Lewis; her daughter Candy Slagle; her grandchildren, Bobby Cothran (Heather), Candace Johnson (Jason), Kelsey Switzer (Zach) and Karen Werner (Mark); her son Scott Dean Walters (Tina); and her grandchildren, Allen Walters and Abigail Honeycutt. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Brunswick Funeral Service Shallotte Chapel (5229 Ocean Hwy W, Shallotte, NC 28470). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
